Sinbad The Sailor The Panto - All & Sundry

All & Sundry once again brings to Bromsgrove a fantastic, traditional pantomime for all the family to enjoy!

Sinbad the Sailor is a traditional family pantomime, incorporating song, visual comedy, slapstick and audience participation....Oh yes it does....

Sinbad returns from his latest voyage with promise of riches, his poor mother's excitement soon turns to dismay when he informs her that he has swapped all the treasure he had collected, for a 'Magic sea-shell covered sword' She is distraught at this and resigns herself to being evicted from her home by the miserly Landlord, because she can't pay her rent.

Sinbad however, is convinced that the 'magic sword' will eventually lead him to untold riches and in order to placate his mother he goes to the bazaar to buy her a small present. There he meets the beautiful Princess Jasmine and they instantly fall in love, however the Royal Vizier has designs on the Princess, as well as her father's kingdom so he decides to frame Sinbad, he orders his sidekick Kumquat to steal a jewel from the Princess's palanquin and plant it on Sinbad.

When the jewel is revealed Sinbad is brought before the Sultan for sentencing, but thanks to the appearance of a rather unusual Fairy he escapes the Palace and sets sail for the Island of Loadsawonga. Sinbad is unaware that Jasmine and her handmaiden Rose, plus his mother, Dame Dolly Drachma and hapless brother Ali have secretly joined the ship.

After the ship gets shipwrecked they find themselves in a kingdom under the sea where they meet some strange and wonderful characters who help them on their way to the Island of Loadsawonga.

Once on the Island they meet the devious High Priestess who has convinced the islanders that a cave houses a terrible dragon that must be appeased by daily offerings of gold and jewels but really she intends to take the treasure for herself and sail off to South America.

The Vizier follows Sinbad to the island to seek revenge, however the eventual outcome is not what either he or the High Priestess had bargained for......
