RICHARD MCILWRAITH: Departing

RICHARD MCILWRAITH: Departing

Departing everyday life: art as refuge; art as response to incomplete meaning; art as meaning-making. Departing a pure visual language: adding the written word - second floor.

Departing the object: tracing Richard’s art from the 1980s to present day - representational to challengingly abstract - first floor.

Departing life: spotlighting the finite nature of the human condition - four contemplative pieces - ground floor.

Message: pause, look, forget yourself, engage, reflect, make more of yourself.
