Carpenters Gold return to Artrix on Saturday 10th November 2018. More information here.
The music of the Carpenters still remains as popular and as well loved as it was when they rose to stardom during the 1970's.
The iconic voice of Karen Carpenter is magically haunting and soothing, captivating and mysterious, light and dark. She engaged listeners and drew them into an intimate space. It is one voice that not many vocalists can achieve but International, highly acclaimed, West End performer Vikki Holland-Bowyer, naturally possesses the warm dulcet tones which sound uncannily similar.
Together with her outstanding acting ability she undertakes the character of Karen superbly from every aspect, paying meticulous attention to her mannerisms, accent, 'brother – sister' relationship with 'Richard', the band and the audience.
'Richard Carpenter', played by Musical Arranger and vocalist Greg Stevenson, is also featured in the show performing alongside his 'sister' enjoying on stage humour, often introducing the array of hits whilst enthusiastically interacting with his musicians.
Carpenters Gold is performed in a feel good, concert style, celebrating the Greatest hits , such as Goodbye To Love, Solitaire, We've Only Just Begun, Top of the World, Yesterday Once More, Superstar, Rainy Days and Mondays, plus many many more; recreating the look and sound of some of their International 1970 tours including 'Karen Carpenter' playing the drums on some numbers with a full live backing band.
As specialists in producing authentic tribute shows, you will not see or hear any other Carpenters production as accurate as this on the stage today.
