This Easter Bank Holiday Weekend, Artrix Bromsgrove brings you a chilled out weekend of live music, film and family activities across all our spaces. Join us for some or all of the weekend, and experience a taster of all that Artrix has to offer!

Here's what you have to look forward to (some events require pre-booking):
 

Thursday 18th April

11am SCREENING: Northern Ballet presents Three Little Pigs
With playful characters and spellbinding music, this adorable ballet screening is sure to have your little ones dancing with excitement, all the way home!

8pm LIVE MUSIC: Chris Difford - Up The Junction
A stand up and sit-down night of tales and songs from Chris's past in Squeeze.

Friday 19th April GOOD FRIDAY

11am & 1pm FAMILY: Dizzy O'Dare's Giant Balloon Show
Take everything you know about balloons, and twist that into a highly entertaining show for the whole family. Expect feverous balloon sculptures and high energy comic performance!

7.30pm COMEDY: Stuart Goldsmith
Intelligent stand-up comedy for everybody, but of particular interest to people over thirty who've lost touch with all their old friends and can't eat just one pain au chocolat.

8pm LIVE MUSIC: Urban Folk Quartet
A show of high-energy, genre-defying acoustic music that will take your breath away.

11am FILM: How To Train Your Dragon - The Hidden World (PG)
The final Dragon sequel is an exhilarating, atmospheric end to the animated series, with a voice cast including Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, America Ferrera and Jay Baruchel.

1pm - 3pm ACOUSTIC SESSION Dan Whitehouse
Relax in the Artrix foyer with a FREE solo acoustic session from singer/songwriter Dan Whitehouse, ahead of his main house gig later in the evening. Treat yourself to lunch from our street food vendor, and kick back for the afternoon.

8pm LIVE MUSIC: Dan Whitehouse + Band, with special guest Rosie Tee
Dan Whitehouse is an acclaimed English singer/songwriter signed to Reveal Records, who supported Eddi Reader when she last visited Artrix in 2018, where he won over the audience with his soulful voice, guitar wizardry and cheeky Midlands patter.

8pm LIVE MUSIC: Robinson-Stone
Family trio Robinson-Stone have been heralded as the new Corrs with their Celtic folk roots and trademark sibling harmonies, reminiscent of the Eagles.

Sunday 21st April EASTER SUNDAY

11am FILM: The Kid Who Would Be King (PG)
Old school magic meets the modern world in Joe Cornish’s epic adventure story; a funny, fantastically enjoyable and expansive film.

1pm - 3pm LIVE MUSIC: Dan Greenaway
Local musician Dan Greenaway went down a storm at the Artrix Christmas party. So much so, we'd love to share the experience with you for a FREE, laid back Easter Sunday in the foyer. Grab a pint or a cuppa and simply enjoy.

Monday 22nd April EASTER MONDAY

7pm POP UP THEATRE: Oleanna
When a university professor is accused of sexual exploitation by one of their students, the professor hopes they can resolve the matter privately. A creative retelling of David Mamet's two-hander, showcasing new and emerging Midlands actors.

7.30pm FILM: All Is True (12A)
Kenneth Branagh directs and stars alongside Judi Dench and Ian McKellen in poignant period drama depicting the mysterious last years of William Shakespeare’s life.
