Thu 14th March The Phil Beer Band
Performing a unique blend of folk and roll, trawled from Phil’s treasure trove of traditional tunes and American country rock.
Fri 15th March Mawkin
Mawkin’s extraordinary brand of boisterous folk music is one to warm hearts, minds and feet.
Built on a solid traditional foundation and influenced by the swagger of 90s indie rock and Bellowhead-style brouhaha, this five-piece’s sound comes alive with a large dose of Essex-boy energy on stage.
Sat 30th March Erja Lyytinen
Take one part blues traditionalist, blend it with a forward-thinking music academy graduate, serve with a side order of skill and a garnish of Nordic beauty. What have you got? Singer/guitarist Erja Lyytinen, a.k.a. "the Finnish slide goddess" (The Blues Magazine). Support comes from Bluesman Mike Francis.
Fri 5th April Boo Hewerdine
Acclaimed Ivor Novello Award nominated English singer-songwriter Boo Hewerdine is in constant demand as a musician, songwriter, producer, teacher and live concert performer, working with artists including Eddi Reader, for whom he produced the folk classic album 'Eddi Reader Sings The Songs Of Robert Burns'. In 2019 he continues to play live and write new material with Eddi and Chris Difford of Squeeze, among many others. His Artrix gig will be a really special evening with one of the greatest songwriter performers in the business.
Thu 18th April Chris Difford Up The Junction - Stand Up Sit Down Book & Music Tour
Chris Difford is a Grammy nominated and double Ivor Novello Award winning lyricists who has been turning the mundane into the beautiful for over 40 years. With his collaborator, Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook, Chris has written some of the most enduring and best-loved sonce of our time, such as Up The Junction, Cool For Cats and many others.
Fri 19th April Urban Folk Quartet
Get ready for a show of high-energy, genre-defining acoustic music that will take your breath away. Comprising Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigas, Tom Chapman and Dan Walsh, the award-winning UFQ celebrate their 10th birthday in 2019, and this special show will include favourites from their back catalogue as well as a host of new material from their brnad new studio album.

Family trio Robinson-Stone have been heralded as the new Corrs with their Celtic folk roots and trafemark sibling harmonies, reminiscent of the Eagles. After a succesful run of theatre shows featured on BBC TV and radio, join Danny, Dean and Leyna for an evening of live music featuring original songs and timeless classics from their acclaimed show The Life & Music of Clifford T Ward.
Sat 20th April Dan Whitehouse with Special Guest Rosie Tee
Dan Whitehouse is an acclaimed English singer/songwriter who has toured and collaborated with label mates Kris Drever, Boo Hewerdine and Eddi Reader, alongside his own sell out headline shows and festival appearances. Dan supported Eddi Reader when she visited Artrix in 2018, and won over the audience with his soulful voice, guitar wizardry and cheeky Midlands patter. Not to be missed!
