We've Kept Our Light On
When a theatre goes dark, a ghost light is left on so those who wander onto the stage and see the path ahead. Now that our doors have closed, our light is on as a promise that Artrix will return and there will be light in the theatre again.
As a registered charity, at this uncertain time we have been heartened to receive an outpouring of support and patience from our audiences and visitors.
A spokesperson for Artrix said;
“It has been a difficult time for everyone and we have been touched by the response of our audiences. The fact that many of our customers have already kindly decided to donate some or all of the ticket fee from cancelled events, is a huge support to us and we send them all of our thanks.”
In a small amount of light amongst the shade, it was announced last week that Artrix had been awarded the What’s On Readers Award for Best Arts/Theatre Venue in Worcestershire for the second year in succession. The award is voted for by readers of the magazine and it’s thanks to our dedicated audiences that the venue has been crowned again.
It will be a while before the award can be shown to the public, with pride of place in the foyer. Until then, if you’re in a position to do so, purchasing a gift voucher is a great way to support us until we can welcome you through our doors again. Vouchers make a great gift, they can be purchased online and emailed directly to you and can be redeemed within 12 months.
We understand that the current crisis is putting a huge financial strain on many people. If you’d like to support Artrix, but unable to make a purchase or donation at this point in time, please sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Facebook or Twitter. We would like to stay in touch with you, to keep you up to date on news, share relevant information with you about artists and performances and bring you the latest information on when we will reopen to the public.
To the community in Bromsgrove and beyond, thank you for the kind words and messages of support we’ve received, we will be waiting for you when the curtain rises again.
