Established in May 1924, Pendyrus Male Choir is the oldest established choral organisation in the
Rhondda Valley. The choir has performed worldwide, performing in the most prestigious venues,
including The White House in Washington, USA. The Kremlin during a Russian Tour plus theatres in
Australia, New Zealand and more recently, Krakow in Poland.

Closer to home they are in constant demand and have performed with many well-known artistes
including, Katherine Jenkins, Lesley Garrett, Paul Potts, Rhydian, Shan Cothi and Grammy award
Soprano, Rebecca Evans.

The choir have won numerous awards including the Cardigan Eisteddfod on five occasions. The most
recent being in 2019.

The choir are delighted to have recently appointed a new Musical Director, the very talented,
Bachelor of Music, Leuan Jones who as a pianist and singer appears frequently on television and

With Leuan conducting, Pendyrus Male Choir ensure an evening never to be forgotten.

Guest Artiste Richard Barry
Richard Barry is a classical Cross-over artiste. He has appeared in West End shows alongside stars
such as Elaine Paige, Sarah Brightman, Jonathan Pryce. He has appeared in pantomime with Brian
Blessed who said “Richard you have the voice of an angel.” Richard has performed on several cruise
ship lines, he has worked abroad including a season in a major casino theatre in South Korea. More
recently Richard has been pleasing audiences in the UK.
