Pop-Up Theatre presents: After the End
Directed by Naomi Coleman
Pop-Up Theatre are a not for profit company based in Stourbridge, producing ‘Pop Up’ Theatre events that creatively adapt, retell and rework texts; designed to showcase new and emerging actors from the Midlands. Their commitment to ‘keeping it local’ means that they are able to cultivate a working exchange, not only with the actors themselves but in addition new, diverse and exciting performance spaces. They currently have a residency at claptrapthevenue and are associate artists of Artrix Arts Centre.
After the End
A large scale terrorist nuclear attack drives Mark and his work colleague Louise down to Mark's old bomb shelter in his flat. This claustrophobic, darkly comic, twisted tale is yet another incredible offering from playwright Dennis Kelly and Pop-Up's second piece in the studio following the success of the creative retelling of David Mamet's 'Oleanna' earlier in the year.
